3 garlic cloves

90 g (3 oz/1/4 cup) honey

150 g (51/2 oz) pickled hot peppers

150 g (51/2 oz) ’nduja

100 g (31/2 oz) asiago cheese

Bash the garlic or crush open with the side of a knife. Heat the honey and garlic in a small saucepan over a medium heat until properly frothing, about 1–2 minutes. Pour into a little serving bowl.

Tear the pickled peppers in half, unless you like it hot.

Arrange the peppers, ’nduja and cheese on a board. Leave the cheese shaving for the others to do – you’ve done enough – and serve with crusty bread and the bowl of honey on the side.
